At Fuss & O’Neill, We are seeking a motivated Environmental Compliance Professional to join our New Haven, CT office. This is an exciting opportunity for an environmental professional with 5+ years of experience to take on a key role in supporting and managing compliance projects for a variety of industrial and municipal clients across Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently prepare environmental compliance plans, including Stormwater, SPCC, and Contingency Plans
 - Develop and submit air and wastewater permit applications
 - Complete annual compliance reports (Tier II, Form R, permit-by-rule, Title V, Biennial reports)
 - Prepare air emissions calculations and wastewater reports
 - Conduct Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) and Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance inspections
 - Support industrial wastewater and UST design projects
 - Perform onsite contract compliance work at client sites
 - Sample stormwater and wastewater discharges and prepare summary reports
 
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- B.S. in Environmental Science or Engineering required
 - 5+ years of relevant environmental compliance experience
 - E.I.T. certification preferred
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD
 - Strong technical writing and communication skills – ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively
 - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
 - Ability and willingness to travel approximately (60% within Connecticut)
