Senior Accountant
Kish Bank is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This position plays an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the Bank’s financial reporting and operational goals. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and a desire to contribute to a collaborative, community-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the preparation of regulatory and other required financial filings.
Perform and review complex general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and account analyses.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and financial reporting.
Coordinate and review commission calculations, vendor payments, and other recurring transactions.
Serve as a primary contact for internal and external audit requests, providing documentation and analysis as needed.
Maintain accounting schedules and support the development of improved procedures for financial accuracy and efficiency.
Contribute to ongoing efforts to strengthen internal controls and streamline financial processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or progress toward certification preferred.
5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and current accounting standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and professional integrity.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
