VC&A Project sales support engineer presso Valmet

We are looking for a VC&A Project Sales Support Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting Valve Controls & Actuation (VC&A) and Valve Automation Solutions​ (VAS) projects across Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for back-office support, project coordination, and offer creation, working closely with our European VC&A/VAS teams, the India Quotation team, and Product Management.

Your role will be crucial in identifying the most cost-effective and technically sound solutions for VAS projects, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders. You will actively contribute to the strategic growth of VC&A, helping us expand into new industrial sectors.

This is a position with preferred locations including Vantaa (Finland), Milan (Italy), Barcelona/Madrid (Spain), Paris (France), or Amersfoort (Netherlands).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating project quotations within your area of responsibility.

• Implementing project sales strategies for VC&A/VAS projects.

• Innovating new approaches tailored to the specific needs of supported countries.

• Monitoring market price developments, technical requirements, competitor activities, and reporting insights to the business line.

• Supporting local VAS sales and acting as the main link between Market Area and the business line.

• Monthly follow-up and reporting on project sales development and market trends.

• Keeping Valve Controls product knowledge up-to-date within the local organization.

• Collaborating closely with VAS sales, India Quotation team, and Business Unit.

• Acting as a Valve Controls specialist in your area.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A technical degree (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) in Mechanical, Automation, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

• Strong prospecting and technical product skills related to VC&A product range.

• Strong technical skills to transfer a customer / project specification into the most economical product type.

• Create project offering in time and under time pressure

• Find flexible solutions also outside our own product range.

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Spanish, German, Italian, or French is strongly preferred.

• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in a global team.

• High energy level and ability to work under pressure.

• A continuous improvement mindset and strong support orientation.

• Solid system skills and professionalism in managing tasks and deadlines.
