SUMMARY:
The Technical Advisor, eCommerce Operation participates in the development of e-commerce and provides the necessary technical support in the administrative and operational activities of his/her department. In addition, the incumbent is also responsible to take an active part in the operational succession of their sector.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- System updates and configuration; apply updates to back-end systems as required, configure system parameters to support operations
- Supervise its stores and follow up on its audits.
- Evaluate the managers of the different roles and support training and developments.
- Support teams in the development of new technological tools and new working methods.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new sites across Ontario, new sectors of activity, technological tools and working methods.
- Assist teams in the preparation of presentations (conferences, seminars, etc.).
- Act as Coach and Leader to all employees of the department.
- Assist with building of new training programs for the department; keep training programs current
- Evaluate the performance of its departments during visits and follow up with owners.
- Ensure that all KPIs meet the objectives set (geolocation, satisfaction, quality, picking time etc.).
- Validate compliance with the norms and standards of the division and guide the change in store.
- Stay abreast of new market trends to contribute to the evolution of the banner.
- Rotating weekend support coverage for eCommerce operations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of Store Operational experience (experience in online grocery is an asset)
- Strong understanding of Metro’s online grocery operating systems (METI Hybris, BDMS)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Valid Driver’s License and available to travel as required
