What you’ll do
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Assortment Planning, the Senior Analyst, Enterprise Assortment Planning will support all banners at CTC by providing strategic insights and recommendations to drive assortment strategy. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on category strategies and guardrails.
Strategic Insights & Recommendations: Providing strategic insights and recommendations based on customer and business performance data. Working with the banner planning functions and merchants.
Framework Support: Assisting in refreshing the role and intent category management framework.
Category Guardrails: Supporting the definition and validation of category guardrails (dimension, direction & ranges) based on research & insights from the Customer Strategy team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with each functional team to quantify and refine category guardrails; ensuring cross-functional expertise is considered to address customer needs, validate assumptions, and align enterprise goals.
Monthly Meeting Preparation: Assisting in preparing materials and insights for monthly performance meetings led by the CCO.
What you bring
University Degree; preference in Data Analytics, Finance, Strategy, or business-related discipline
Minimum 3+ years of experience in data analysis, insights delivery, or consulting (retail industry and assortment planning experience are strong assets)
Proficient in SQL and Tableau (or comparable tools/languages) with advanced Excel expertise including formulas, pivot tables, databases, VBA, and macros
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of retail math and key performance metrics.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and influence outcomes through collaboration and data-driven insights
Excellent written communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
