Drop and Count Dual-Rate Lead

Position Summary — The Drop and Count Dual Rate Lead is responsible for overseeing daily team functions and providing leadership coverage in absence of the lead or supervisor to ensure continuity of operations.
Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prepares supplies by organizing and restocking for the following day’s drop/count
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance to ensure optimal productivity.
- Ensuring that workflow processes are followed and that tasks are completed on time. Coordinating and prioritizing tasks to meet operational goals.
- Maintain security of all assigned keys at all times.
- Labels all cash cans for the drop process.
- Removes all cash boxes from gaming machines, ATM’s and table games from the previous gaming day and replaces them with empty cash boxes.
- Places used cash boxes onto the box cart in established order.
- Takes carts to the count room where they are sorted, counted, strapped and bundled and records contents of bill validator boxes.
- Prepares funds with proper documentation for the Accounting Department and for transfer of funds to Vault.
- Ensures prevention of loss by providing extreme care and attention to detail.
- Works as part of the team, assisting others as needed.
- Investigates and resolves all daily compliance and balancing discrepancies.
- Ensures the integrity of the soft count and compliance with gaming regulations.
- Oversees minor repairs and maintenance of soft count room equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. and drop and count experience required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Ability to multitask and to promote a cooperative approach between departments.
- Skilled in the use of computer programs and software.
- Knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations.
- Knowledge of current and evolving TICS and applicable gaming regulations.
- Ability to maintain composure during possible high stress situations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in problem solving and critical thinking.
Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements — Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, twist, pull, push, and lift up to 35 pounds regularly. Must have good dexterity and grip, be able to work quickly and move fast, and have good hand-eye coordination.
Work Environment — Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, confined spaces, and bright flashing lights.
Special Working Conditions — Position requires flexibility to work any shift including weekends and holidays and the ability to work in confined spaces.
Compensation — Due to the nature of the Drop and Count Team, compensation is awarded as follows:
- Drop/Count Team Members are paid for 10 hours for each qualifying day worked.
- A qualifying day is a day worked in which the staff member is on-time for their shift (with a 7-minute grace window) and completes all required duties.
- Any time missed that does not exceed one hour for that day, due to tardiness or leaving early, will be deducted from the hourly compensation for that day.
- If more than one hour of schedule time is missed, the staff member will only be compensated for actual hours worked for that day.
-Overtime compensation will only apply to hours physically worked that exceed 40 hours in a given workweek.
