Job Description

Job Summary:    

We are seeking a skilled and experienced production assembler to join our electrostatics production operation. This exciting opportunity will be a new production process in our new Shoreview, MN factory. This position will involve following standard work Instructions to achieve the required safety, environmental and quality standards, in line with company policies to satisfy customer demand. 

This involves the assembly of electrostatic gun’s, bells, power supplies and cables within given specifications, outlined in standard work instructions and drawings, within the electronics division.  

 Key Responsibilities:  

  • Use drawings, work instructions, and instruction from engineering to assemble electrostatic painting equipment with little supervision.
  • Final test electrostatics painting equipment to ensure quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizes small hand tools for positioning parts to assist assembly operations, stripping wire, forming leads etc. to IPC Standards
  • Work in compliance with safety policies
  • Conduct quality control checks.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Wear PPE as directed and as required, this potentially including gloves, face visors, safety shoes and safety glasses.
  • Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA hazards requirements.
  • Test high voltage. Able to read KV and currents in microamps
  • Use various gauges and measuring devices; and have ability to identify non-conforming parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Efficient problem solver with knowledge of problem-solving techniques and the ability to apply them to complex assemblies.
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety instructions, Standard Works Instructions, Standard Test Documentation and product manuals
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Effective communication skills in a cross-functional environment
  • Good Microsoft office base skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure to changing priorities
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects

Requirements: 

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to spatially visualize how parts, components, and sub-assemblies come together resulting in the quality assembly.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and use these skills to solve problems.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, complete forms with accurate information.
  • Must be able to properly identify, count, and maintain required inventory.
  • Must be able to work as a cooperative and contributing member of the Team.
