We are looking for an experienced Utility-Screw Piper to join our team at our fabrication shop in Catoosa, Oklahoma. This role is responsible for cutting, threading, and bending pipe and tubing, reading and interpreting technical drawings, assembling piping systems to specification, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and assisting with general fabrication and material handling tasks as needed. The schedule is full-time, 40-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday. No per diem is offered.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
- Cut and thread pipe ranging from ½” to 3” Schedule 80 through Schedule 160 according to project specifications.
- Bend tubing from 1” to 2” to meet design requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to accurately assemble piping systems.
- Assemble and install pipe components with precision and attention to quality standards
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, alignment, and quality, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and meet project deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including light material handling and support tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience assembling and fabricating pipe in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Skilled in cutting and threading ½” to 3” Schedule 80 through Schedule 160 pipe.
- Experienced in bending tubing from 1” to 2”.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Possesses required hand and power tools to complete assignments efficiently and safely.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality and accuracy in pipe assembly.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable daily transportation is required.
- Employment for this role is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and MVR check, drug screening, and physical exam, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Demands:
The position requires performing physically demanding tasks in an industrial or fabrication environment. Work involves standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and working on elevated surfaces for extended periods. Lifting and carrying materials and equipment up to 50 pounds is frequent, and full-body movement is required to position and align components. The role also involves manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for welding and using hand and power tools. Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, fumes, and typical shop conditions is expected, along with proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as welding helmets, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective footwear.
