Skillforce is currently hiring several Pipefitters for work in the Louisville, KY area! This is a contract to hire role, working 40+ hours a week across several commercial sites. Pipefitters will be primarily working with stainless steel pipe and medgas experience is a plus! Pay for this role is up to $30/hr depending upon experience.
Pipefitter Responsibilities:
- Select and arrange pipes according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes and sizes.
- Test pipe systems for leaks using pressure gauge kits.
- Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
- Modify and maintain pipe systems and components as necessary.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, and mechanical engineers to ensure specifications are met.
- Adhere to safety policies and regulations to create a risk-free environment.
Pipefitter Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a pipefitter
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
