| POSITION SUMMARY | |||||||||
| Production Technician I is usually an entry-level position. Responsibilities include operating machinery, assembling clamps, and following production guidelines. They may assist in routine maintenance tasks, quality control checks, and ensure smooth workflow. This position consists of General Labor/Deburring, Rolling/Bending, Assembly/Load/Inspect. | |||||||||
| ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - GENERAL LABOR / DEBURRING | |||||||||
| • Attendance - Adherence to scheduled shifts/hours of assigned work. • Operate deburring/RotoFinish machines. • Weigh-count parts • Clean and wipe oversized parts/retainers. • Operate/deburr parts using bench grinders. • Operate Trunnion Capper machines as specified by Work Orders • Cut/Salvage reusable components from scrap parts. • Keep track of grease counts, soap and water use and/or ratios when necessary. • Place finished parts in the proper holding area • Possible use of tow motor where appropriate. • Accepts additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by supervisor, operation of orbital riveter, kick presses, air vice press, etc. | |||||||||
| ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - ROLLING & BENDING | |||||||||
| • Attendance – Adherence to assigned shift times and work hours. • Identify, locate, and set up Two-Pin and Three Pin Rolling Machines with proper tooling. • Identify, locate, and pull bands/blanks for production on Rolling Machines • Ensure work Order and in-process Quality Checks and Documentation • Safely operate Rolling Machines in conjunction with Work Order specifications • Complete all necessary paperwork/data entry. • Check parts for quality. • Accepts additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by supervisor. • Bending: bend band loops into bands/straps for future assembly of component parts. | |||||||||
| ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - ASSEMBLY / LOAD / INSPECT | |||||||||
| • Attendance - Adherence to scheduled shifts/hours of assigned work. • Pull bands and component parts from stock per Work Order specifications. • Assemble component parts onto bands per Work Order specifications. • Operate compressed air nutters with correct nut for the order. • Assemble fixtures for spot welders when necessary. • Complete Work Order and in-process Quality documentation. • Accepts additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by supervisor. • Visually inspect finished product, 100% inspection required where noted; otherwise, inspection is random. | |||||||||
| EDUCATIONAL/LANGUAGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS | |||||||||
| • Basic Reading/Writing Comprehension • Basic Understanding and Use of Computers • Beginning to Intermediate level experience with machinery and/or manufacturing • Individuals must meet established Company Quality/Production Standards | |||||||||

| PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORKING CONDITIONS | |||||||||
| • Normal work location is production facility, standing, walking or sedentary. • Lifting/Dragging of parts/bins ranging from 30-75 (or more) lbs. • Repetitive bending of wrists and use of hands. • Follows all safety & PPE standards. • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job consistent with ADA, and other federal, state, and local standards. | |||||||||
