IT Portfolio Manager II

The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You’ll Be Doing
Assists with the administration of the IT project portfolio, including the business case model, prioritization, approval processes, and reporting requirements throughout the life cycle of a project.
  • Responsible for the stability, performance, production, compliance, roadmap strategy, and development initiatives for each non-managed project in the ITS portfolio.
  • Facilitates joint planning with business partners in the early stages of project formation and meet with ITS resource managers to review their demands, projects, and resource plans.
  • Compares and evaluates projects within ITS portfolio to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within approved time frame, scope and budget, includes processes associated with the intake of ideas, requests, projects, and other work, and the appropriate distribution of that work.
  • Develops the project portfolio master schedule by facilitating demand prioritization meetings and communications with key stakeholders. Recalibrate the portfolio as necessary when the demands of business dictate a change in delivery or scope of work.
  • Responsible for keeping current project records and actuals for time tracking to ensure proper calculations for capacity and planning.
  • Communicates portfolio value, risk, performance, related decisions, and the portfolio management process.
  • Works collaboratively with project managers on project requests, processes and procedures through project completion. Oversees the management of project closure initiatives.
  • Assists with the development mature feedback loops to ensure processes and procedures are optimized to reach investment and delivery stages.
  • Works closely with platform operations team to identify enhancements and upgrades for inclusion in the demand funnel.
  • Performs demand intake and assessment tasks in a timely manner to support business and technology partners and move the demands through the pipeline.
  • Provides quality assurance ensuring that initiatives are being well managed and adhering to appropriate standards. Ensures workflows, use cases and knowledge articles are current.
  • Perform resource planning, leveling and management, as well as effective use of metrics, and reporting to provide transparency and insight into resource utilization and demand backlog, trends, and current pipeline.
  • Support department managers through continuous training and the creation and maintenance of resource plans. Implement best practices, processes and toolsets for effective portfolio management, and provide education on best practices and effective project execution.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation related to project portfolio status, performance, and strategic alignment. Provide regular updates to senior management and executives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience required
  • 3-5 years of related experience required
  • Certified Change Management Professional required
  • ITIL Foundations 4 required
