Job Title: Employment Support Specialist/ Job Coach
Location: UCP Heartland – St. Louis Metro Area
Department: Employment Services
Employment Type: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
As an employment support specialist/Job Coach you are responsible for providing support to people served at their place of employment. You will:
- Support individuals learn and keep their job at various worksites though out the St. Louis Metro area.
- Work with employers, families and funders to ensure success.
- Work a caseload of up to 25 individuals providing one on one support to help ensure employment success.
- Utilize a computer and electronic health records system to provide documentation and paperwork within established guidelines and timeframes.
- Build relationships with UCP employment clients, employers, funders and other stakeholders by providing clear and consistent communication.
We think you’d be great for this role if you have:
- High School Diploma or GED required, an associate's or bachelor’s degree in applicable field from accredited institution (preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
- Creative and quick problem-solving skills with the ability to ‘think outside the box’.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass Family Care Safety Registry and Driver's Record Exam
- Reliable Transportation
- Current Auto Insurance
