Reports To: Head Nurse
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, including assessment, treatment, and documentation of health concerns.
 - Administer medications and perform medical procedures according to physician orders and school policies.
 - Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
 - Communicate with parents, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health concerns.
 - Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
 - Promote health education and support wellness initiatives within the school community.
 - Follow all infection control procedures and emergency protocols.
 - Support compliance with state immunization and health screening requirements.
 - Assist with the management of chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and severe allergies.
 - Maintain a positive working relationship with school personnel, students and families.
 - Display competency in computer applications, record keeping and organizational skills.
 - Be willing and able to accompany students on overnight field trips (fully paid).
 - Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Nurse.
 
Position Responsibilities:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
 - CPR and First Aid certification required. PALS preferred.
 - Prior experience in pediatrics, school health, or community health nursing preferred.
 - Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
 - Ability to work independently and adapt to different school environments.
 
Schedule:
PRN / On-Call Basis (hours vary based on school needs). School hours are 7:30 am - 3:30 pm.
