We are looking for a Specification Sales Manager to Promote LSI full offering of Architectural/Specification Grade products to professional sales agencies, specifiers, architects, and end users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist Regional Managers and Independent Sales Representatives with Architectural Product training, development approach to specification, and tool creation to enable the process.
- Identify and establish strong working relationships with lighting designers, architects, and other purchase influencers, with the Architectural product line.
- Provide training to both internal and external personnel: review product features, capabilities, and proper applications.
- Travel throughout Domestic U.S. market to assist regional sales managers with sales of the LSI Architectural product line.
- Display & demonstrate product, using samples, catalogs, or electronic presentations. Emphasize unique LSI features, functions, benefits. Compare / contrast with competitors’ products.
- Coordinate and stay apprised of territory quotes, prices, and credit terms provided centrally from LSI corporate. Frequently follow up on quotations to translate into orders. Assist with quotes personnel as needed.
- Prepare summary report of business transactions and keep expenses in accordance with business policy, as well as current at all times
- Assist Product Manager with Architectural product line as needed.
- Convert technical inquiries into new sales opportunities.
- Assist with new product launches as needed.
- Attend / Participate in trade shows and other industry events as required from time-to-time.
- Communicate in a positive, professional, clear and concise manner
- Incorporate sales support team in project development. Build positive relationships with peers and support team to enable maximum business result
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of related industry experience and/or training.
- Speaking and professional skills are at parity or better than the persons encountered in you work activities at electrical wholesalers, consulting engineering firms and agencies.
