The Enrollment Specialist position at NWACC Washington County is responsible for processing all college credit admissions documents while adhering to processes, policies and procedures. This position will participate in an integrated, cross-trained team approach by providing strategies to promote student success. This position promotes outstanding customer service and provides support to Enrollment Services for students to successfully complete every facet of the enrollment process, including High School Relations.

This position is housed at NWACC Washington County and works under the direct supervision of the Director of Admissions. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institutional policy.

Essential Duties

  • Accurately processes all student admissions documents and requests in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and FERPA regulations.
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of college credit admissions applications, document intake requirements, and enrollment policies and procedures.
  • Maintains and coordinates reporting tasks using the college’s data management systems; assists with troubleshooting and system enhancements.
  • Assists in evaluating high school transcripts and equivalents for admissions purposes.
  • Works closely with Student Services staff to support recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and retention efforts across Washington and Benton counties.
  • Maintains working knowledge of Student Services resources including software, equipment, websites, and class schedules; participates in testing upgrades and new tools.
  • Ensures procedures are accurate, effective, and compliant with institutional policies and federal regulations.
  • Participates in ongoing professional development and demonstrates adaptability to shifting priorities and departmental needs.
  • Maintains regular, reliable attendance and fosters collegial, harmonious working relationships; flexible scheduling may be required during peak periods.
  • Performs other duties related to the position as required or directed.

Rate of Pay: $18.55 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s  Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred experience working in higher education

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the organization and administration of various higher education academic and social programs.
  • Knowledge of campus and community resources.
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social programs.
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs.
  • Ability to evaluate collected information and formulate into recommendations.
  • Ability to compile information into report form.
