Department/College Description
During the professional phase, students are assessed on their medical knowledge and clinical skills. The Data and Assessment Analyst is essential for managing this process. They:
Collect and Analyze Data: The analyst gathers data from student assessments, surveys, and clinical rotation evaluations. They use statistical analysis to interpret this data, identifying trends and areas for improvement in the curriculum.
Support Accreditation: The PA program, like all medical programs, must maintain accreditation to ensure its quality and credibility. The analyst prepares the data and reports required for accreditation reviews, demonstrating that the program is meeting or exceeding national standards.
Inform Program Leadership: The analyst's work informs the Coordinator of Assessment and other program leaders, providing them with the insights needed to make strategic decisions about curriculum adjustments, resource allocation, and faculty development.
In short, while the faculty are focused on teaching and mentoring students, the Data and Assessment Analyst provides the essential data infrastructure to prove that the program is successful and to guide its ongoing evolution.
