About the Function
This role will report into the Head of Group Accounting and Reporting and is responsible in leading a team to deliver both Management and Statutory reporting for Woodside’s International operations.
About the Role
- Understanding and application of relevant accounting standards.
 - Preparation of Audit & Risk Committee papers as required.
 - Owns the end to end process for International reporting requirements
 - Supports the external audit of International reporting processes.
 - Supports the Group Reporting Team through for initiatives in the International region.
 - Leads ad-hoc projects for acquisitions, divestments and data migrations
 
Management and review of team’s deliverables, including:
•    Preparation of subsidiary statutory reporting
•    Leading the audit process for subsidiary statutory reports
•    Workiva process owner for International submissions
•    P&L and Balance Sheet commentary for key reporting deliverables
•    Verification of International validation checks through the reporting Processes
•    Preparation and posting of CJEs
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience leading a team.
 - Able to prioritise work and manage team’s work to deliver on key business outcomes.
 - Able to clearly communicate complex financial information to broad audience both written and verbal.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, process improvement mindset, organisation skills and high attention to detail.
 - Robust and instinctive technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and AASB and financial statement disclosures.
 - 10 + years of experience as an accounting professional and hold professional qualification (CA/CPA).
 - Experience working in or with hydrocarbon and/or extractive industries.
 - SAP experience desirable.
