Responsible for the development, leadership, and marketing of the Franchise Capital Solutions (“FCS”) business line, including mentorship and championing staff as well as upholding a culture centered around controlled growth, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Develops and services a large group of internal and external clients and constituents via the establishment of Bank OZK’s franchise and branded retail lending platform, and other related services and teams to support the continued growth and diversification of the Bank.
Essential Job Functions:
- Manages a deal team, which may consist of underwriters, servicers, and other staff/vendors, to include staffing, assigning and delegating work, training, mentoring, and coaching. Conducts performance reviews and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Executes strategic and tactical plans to ensure development and growth, business development productivity, and financial targets are achieved.
- Leads by example and provides guidance to junior relationship managers on how to build successful relationships and develops on-going revenue streams to meet appropriate risk adjusted returns and targeted objectives.
- Screens, proposes, and originates loans and other Bank products.
- Delivers full bank relationships through effective partner engagements and cross-sells within Bank OZK; drives client referrals to the appropriate partnering lines of business for maximum client effectiveness.
- Set strategies and activities to meet annual goals as well as long-range strategic goals.
- Identifies and informs management of impactful changes and acts on all assigned initiatives.
- Represents the Bank in approved public relations activities and community affairs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of finance and credit analysis.
- Comprehensive knowledge of lending activities and terminology.
- Knowledge of federal and state lending and compliance regulations.
- Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership presence and credibility and manage a diverse team.
- Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen and business development skills.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across functional and organizational groups and build business relationships to achieve the desired objectives of the Bank.
- Ability to utilize discretion and sound judgment in decision-making and maintain confidentiality.
- Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required; Master’s degree in job-related field, preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in commercial lending, corporate lending, sponsor finance, and/or enterprise value lending, required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing, leading, or supervising a team, required.
- Successful completion of a formal credit training program such as CBCL, or equivalent work experience, required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in strategic planning or related organizational or enterprise development, preferred.
- Demonstrated progressive experience in banking, lending, or finance, preferred.
