Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees a staff that performs preventive maintenance service, repairs, improvements, and new installations to complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems at the Evapco West manufacturing facility - ensuring safe operation, quality production, and maximum asset availability.
• Implement standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
• Coordinates resources for troubleshooting equipment repairs.
• Reviews and supports equipment failure analysis and troubleshooting resolutions.
• Support building repair and facility improvements.
• Trains, coaches, and educates maintenance technicians in best practices and safety procedures.
• Monitors work orders to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance. Manages spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of required parts.
• Works closely with technicians, operators, managers, and corporate manufacturing engineers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develops and trains maintenance department staff, creating and maintaining a work friendly environment
• Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles disciplinary issues with members as needed and in accordance with company policy.
• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
• Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
• Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
• Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Utilize CMMS for work order management and spare parts inventory control, drive Continuous Improvement, and coordinate with outside vendors as needed.
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job qualifications:
• 1 to 5 years of leadership experience required.
• Four-year degree, in a relatable field of study, such as Industrial Technology or Engineering, is preferred
• Ongoing/current Maintenance Training Certification(s), is/are preferred.
• Experience with Lean, Kaizen, CMMS, and Inventory control experience, is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required/Bilingual in English and Spanish, is preferred.
• Advanced user knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
• Basic understanding of business related IT functions and operating systems
