Job Summary
Works with District leadership and technical professionals to coordinate and implement the design and continuous improvement of internally developed software and data solutions to address line of business needs. Ensures the stability and integrity of District data within assigned scope.
Essential Functions
1. Oversees all activities and functions involved with the analysis, definition, specification, development, testing, documentation, and implementation of new and existing solutions.
2. Leads, directs, and manages Applications Development operations; recruits, selects, orients, trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff. Plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews staff job contributions.
3. Leads the development, implementation, improvement, and enforcement of standards, practices, procedures, and methodologies related to systems analysis, architecture, design, development, and testing.
4. Works with District staff to determine business and system requirements and rules for the purposes of development, enhancement, and support of District functions.
5. Oversees all activities and resources related to testing and evaluation of commercial off the shelf solutions as requested by schools and District business units.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent supervisory and/or management work experience.
Experience: Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the areas of analysis, development, implementation, and management within a technical landscape. Knowledge of K-12 educational business systems preferred.
Certifications & Licenses: Relevant development certification preferred.
