Job Description:
This job is responsible for defining and leading the engineering approach for complex features to deliver significant business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the job include delivering complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies, providing technical thought leadership based on conducting multiple software implementations, and applying both depth and breadth in a number of technical competencies. Additionally, this job is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will be involved in designing and developing technology solutions to improve GCIB banker productivity and process efficiency. This is a technical role where one will be engaged in researching and building business impactful solutions. He/she will be required to understand and analyze the requirements and be involved in prioritization discussions, risks identification and developing various Fin-Tech solutions to advance business growth. The senior engineer role drives the development roadmap of a technology platform. The existing team is the global owner of a suite of applications that supports 4K+ Corporate and Investment Banking bankers and their control partners.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the design and engineering approach for complex features are consistent with the larger portfolio solution
- Define the technology tool stack for the solution and evaluate and adapt new testing tool/framework/practices for team(s)
- Enables team(s)/applications with Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) capabilities and engages with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline
- Guides and influences team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance –e.g. pairing, code reviews
- Provides end-to-end delivery of complex features, including automation, for either a single team or multiple teams, at the program level
- Conducts research, design prototyping and other exploration activities such as evaluating new toolsets and components for release management, CI/CD, and features
- Works with stakeholders to establish high-level solution needs and with architects for technical requirements
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead product development of an industry award winning platform – GCIB Launch – that is only 3 years old and impacting 4000+ users every year.
- Engage in AI, GenAI, mobile projects, both internal and vendor engagement.
- Learn the acumen and processes in primary market business (investment banking, capital markets and corporate banking).
- Execute assigned tasks in various projects impacting Global Corporate & Investment Banking business, including both technical requirement analysis, solution design & development.
- Implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) in a Lean Agile team setting, including coding of test automation.
- Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provide technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member and an individual contributor.
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and lead them to perform.
- Partner closely with the front-line business, COO team and product owners to execute projects, discuss priorities, implementation options and risks.
- Manage deliverables, to communicate risks, to work in an integrated team and to have a comfort level working with a geographically dispersed team.
Required Qualifications:
- Typically, 10+ years of experience in a technology organization.
- Solid experience in leading project implementation of global projects impacting the business, including both technical requirement analysis, solution architecture & design and development.
- Solid experience working in a Lean Agile project management model to support continuous adoption of enterprise project management approach.
- Excellent skills and solid experience of .NET, web-based and Angular user interface development.
- Background programming experience with C# in a .Net environment
- Knowledge of Fintech solutions such as A.I., NLP, RPA and able to research and assess potential vendor solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with project managers, product owners, business analysts and other developers.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changes in priorities as well as to work effectively within a fast-paced environment under stress.
- Work as a technical leader and a technology partner in a global team setup.
