The role you will contribute:
The Charge Description Master (CDM) Support Manager provides charge item creation and maintenance support necessary to charge for clinical procedures and services to various governmental and private payers. The handling of confidential information is part of daily responsibilities. The CDM manager coordinates charge coding updates and communication necessary to synchronize multiple information systems, which utilize CDM charge information. Research and usage support education is provided to clinical staff, which enhances proper charge capture and billing compliance with various regulatory guidelines and requirements.

- Coordinates charge coding additions, deletions, revisions to ensure optimal coding for all payors.
- Collaborates with AIT to implement additions, deletions and revisions.
- Demonstrates proficiency in healthcare billing systems and understanding of coding standards (such as ICD-10, CPT).
- Ensures familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance.
- Collaborates with stakeholders regarding pricing decisions and updates
- Utilizes strong analytical skills and attention to detail to manage data accurately.
- Communicates with various stakeholders to ensure accurate charge capture.
- Uses data management tools effectively to support charge capture and reporting.
- Provides education and support to clinical staff on proper charge capture and billing compliance.
- Handles confidential information responsibly on a daily basis.
- Maintains Charge Description Master Sharepoint site
- Creates and distributes Chargemaster newsletter with pertinent updates
- Other duties as assigned.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Bachelor's Undergraduate college degree
· 2+ Work Experience
· Windows Applications: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access
· Basic Computer navigation skills
· Familiarity with clinical documentation and billing systems
· Demonstrates ability to adapt to new situations and responsibilities
· Demonstrates problem solving skills
