Note: This position is based at our corporate office in Phoenix, AZ, and follows a hybrid work schedule. Remote work is not available for this role. Candidates must reside within commuting distance, as relocation assistance is not provided. Additionally, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored visa support.

Position Summary

The Asset Protection Business Partner safeguards company assets by minimizing loss, preventing theft, and ensuring a safe environment for employees and customers. This role implements security measures, investigates incidents, trains staff on asset protection practices, and partners with store and corporate leaders to strengthen operational integrity and reduce shrink.

Key Responsibilities

Loss Prevention & Security:

  • Monitor store operations to identify potential theft, fraud, or policy violations.
  • Implement security protocols to protect company assets, including inventory, cash, and equipment.
  • Conduct routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance with asset protection policies.
  • Utilize surveillance systems, point-of-sale analytics, and other tools to detect and deter theft.

Incident Investigation & Resolution:

  • Investigate internal and external theft, fraud, and operational losses.
  • Document and report security incidents, thefts, or safety violations.
  • Work with law enforcement and legal teams when necessary to prosecute theft or fraud cases. 

Employee Training & Compliance:

  • Train store employees on theft prevention, security procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure team members follow best practices for handling cash, high-value inventory, and customer transactions.
  • Conduct safety training and enforce OSHA compliance to reduce workplace accidents.

Operational Support:

  • Collaborate with store managers and regional leadership to develop and implement asset protection strategies.
  • Identify trends in shrinkage and develop action plans to mitigate losses.
  • Assist in inventory control processes, including cycle counts and physical inventory audits.

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or retail security.
  • Strong knowledge of theft prevention strategies, safety regulations, and investigative procedures.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with security systems, CCTV monitoring, and fraud detection tools is a plus.
