The Opportunity

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting month-end close processes for Revenue Accounting. This position requires solid technical accounting skills, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, or finance, preferably within the software or technology industry.

 

What You Will Do

  • Support revenue-related month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis
  • Review customer contracts, monitor deferred revenue schedules, and ensure proper billing alignment with revenue recognition policies
  • Prepare revenue-related reports for management, including KPIs, revenue trends, and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Assist with external audits by preparing revenue-related documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline revenue recognition processes and improve efficiency.


Requirements

 

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in revenue accounting, or a similar role, preferably in the software or technology industry.
  • CPA or CPA track preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
