Job Description
The Analytics Manager leads data-driven strategies to optimize recovery, reduce delinquency, and improve portfolio performance. This role partners with Risk, Finance, and Customer Experience to design segmentation models, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate blends analytical expertise with operational leadership to drive efficient, customer-focused collections outcomes.
How’ll you’ll make an impact:
- Collections Strategy & Operations
- Oversee assigned collections portfolio, ensuring timely and effective recovery of delinquent accounts.
- Monitor delinquency trends, customer payment behaviors, and collections effectiveness to identify risks and opportunities.
- Design segmentation models and treatment plans tailored to customer risk profiles.
- Partner with Risk, Finance, and Customer Experience to refine strategies that balance recovery with customer care.
- Manage workflows and system configurations to optimize efficiency and compliance.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Develop and implement data driven collections strategies to optimize collections, reduce defaults and improve portfolio performance.
- Build, maintain, and distribute collections dashboards and scorecards.
- Analyze large data sets to uncover patterns in delinquency, roll rates, cure rates, and recovery performance.
- Develop forecasts and models to support portfolio risk management and collections capacity planning.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on data analysis.
- Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal regulatory requirements (FDCPA, UDAAP, etc.).
- Document, monitor, and improve collections processes to strengthen efficiency and scalability.
- Partner with technology teams to implement system enhancements and automation solutions.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- 5–7+ years of experience in collections management, preferably in financial services, fintech, or consumer credit.
- Strong background in analytics: SQL, Python, R, or advanced Excel; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) preferred.
- Proven ability to analyze large data sets, translate insights into actionable strategies, and communicate results to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams.
- Knowledge of collections compliance regulations and risk management practices.
