Sigvaris is currently looking for Dryer Operator to join our team in Peachtree City, GA.  As a leading compression solution provider, we are not just a company that manufactures products.  We are a global team on a mission to help people feel their best.  Reporting directly to the Supervisor, the Dryer Operator will operate multiple Tumble Dryers, Autoclave, Boarding and Dyeing machines.


SHIFT:

     • Monday to Friday

     • 3rd shift: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

     

PAY:

     • $19.50 per hour + shift differential


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     • Tumble Dryer:

          o All dyed products must be loaded and removed from the tumble dry machines.

          o During the unload process, operators will verify each product by checking the fabric labels and separate each bag by matching products to corresponding ticket.  Products must then be staged in designated areas for the next production process.

          o The staging process may include laying products out flat to ensure that they do not wrinkle, as well as quality inspection.

     • Boarding:

          o Load and unload of Autoclave.

          o Clock work out of WMS terminal and route to next production process.

          o Post-Board products per schedule demand based on business needs at the time.

     • Dyeing:

          o Loading and unloading of dye machines.

          o Aid in cleaning up around all dryers, dye machines and dye room daily to ensure room is continuously cleaned and organized.

     • Other Duties:

          o Covering for other dryer and dye operators during time of PTO, which include 10-12 hour shifts.

          o Relocate products from the Finishing Department to the RM Warehouse for transport to Distribution Center.

          o Daily RM cycle counts.

          o Train in multiple departments of manufacturing.

     • 6S Cleaning:

          o All employees are assigned a 6S cleaning handbook along with a patterned schedule to ensure that their areas are kept clean.  These schedules will be assigned to you weekly and bi-weekly.

     • Monthly Safety Meetings: All employees will be required to attend monthly safety meetings with their supervisor.  Each month we will cover a different topic, all of which are designed to help ensure the safest possible working environment.

     • Fosters positive morale among staff, by promotion of open communication with all departments, to help create and maintain an innovative and cooperative staff relationship and environment.

          o Interacts with external and internal customers in a manner conducive to continued positive relationships.

          o Displays patience, courtesy and tact; demonstrates flexibility, enthusiasm and willingness to cooperate while working with others or in place of others as necessary.

     • Demonstrates effective communication methods.

          o Supervisor and/or appropriate management staff are kept informed of developments affecting their functions.

          o Responds quickly to all oral and written communications.

          o Maintains and encourages an open line of communication with both internal and external customers.

     • Follows established company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SIGVARIS policies, industry standards, ISO 13485 standards, 6S and Lean Manufacturing, and Federal, State and local laws.

     • Assists with the implementation of Lean/Kaizen initiatives or events in the department.

     • Follows all work instructions, creates and maintains accurate records to meet all internal and external requirements to support the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.

     • Accurately performs any other duties and responsibilities as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow.  This may include learning job responsibilities in many other departments.

Requirements


EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:

     • A high school diploma or equivalent/GED.

     • Prefer someone who has experience working in a manufacturing environment.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This job operates in a manufacturing environment.

     • Regularly required to sit or stand for long periods of time.

     • Ability to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, bend, lift or climb.

     • Required to lift 30 to 50 pounds.

     • Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.

     • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.

     • Ability to work in cold in the winter and heat during the summer months.



You will be paid through a temporary agency and will be required by that agency to successfully complete a background check and drug test in advance of hire.
