Position Summary:
The Security Facility Supervisor will perform the following tasks under the direct supervision of their manager. Oversee and manage all site security activity. Conduct routine inspections and audits of the facility security and security personnel to ensure proper implementation of security protocols. This position requires after-hours response on an as needed basis. Emergency response and scheduling after normal work hours are required. The Supervisors work schedule must be flexible so they may conduct audits on different shifts.
Responsibilities:
You will conduct the following responsibilities, upholding HSS’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.
- Ensures Officers perform all aspects of their assignments as per the site post orders and standard operating procedures.
- Ensures Officers properly fill out all necessary paperwork / Track Tick reports including but not limited to their time sheet, daily activity reports, and incident reports.
- Create and implement the work schedule for the security staff & update in Track Tick as needed.
- Ensure all work shifts are covered and required contract hours are met.
- Counsel the security staff as needed and directed by your manager.
- Conduct inspections and report findings to management.
- Train new officers when they are assigned to the site & maintain training records for compliance
- Provide management with personnel recommendations as needed.
- Ensure officers receive and wear proper Uniforms and PPE gear as required.
- Perform documented audit checks of each post on site (RBC/North Gate / Scale house / SCC / Patrol
- Handle approved requests for additional services from clients.
- Ensure Tarian staff meet Suncor’s workplace policies.
- Create & Document succession planning for Officers exceeding expectations.
Payroll Functions
- Ensures officers clock in to Track Tick / fill out Time sheets.
- Investigates any reported payroll or time discrepancies as needed / required.
- Ensures all time worked for personnel on site is present in Track Tick / on time sheets and all contractual obligations are met.
- Confirms weekly payroll hours with Branch / Sends weekly payroll.
- Ensure all NBOT is approved by the branch prior to implementation. Security Functions
- Must be able to properly and efficiently perform all essential job duties of the site security off
Security Functions
- Must be able to properly and efficiently perform all essential job duties of the site security officers under your supervision.
- Must be able to utilize all essential security equipment approved for use on site.
- Interact with client contact as instructed by management.
- Report incidents to management
- Document and report any on site injuries to local branch [2]
- Submit a weekly report on site activity to the local branch as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid High School Diploma or GED
- State Licensing requirements may apply
- A minimum of 2 years Security, Law Enforcement, and or Military experience
- One-year supervisory experience
- The ability to communicate and counsel personnel.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- The ability to prepare and or update standard operating procedures.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week, depending on the needs of the business. The work environment may be fast-paced and stressful or may also be quiet and slow-paced. All environments and pace of work will require alertness and ability to perform under pressure.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
