Position Title: Payroll & Cash Management Specialist
Experience Required:
Minimum of 2–3 years of payroll processing experience.
Position Overview
The Payroll & Cash Management Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining precise cash management records. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, paperless environment.
Key Responsibilities
Cash Management
- Post daily cash receipts to customer accounts and resolve any cash application issues.
- Research and respond promptly to credit card chargebacks.
- Assist with the collection of aged accounts receivable.
- Cross-train and provide support for other finance operations as directed by the team lead.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic records.
Payroll
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Review timesheets for accuracy and enter payroll information into the system.
- Run payroll preview reports, thoroughly review for errors, and resolve discrepancies.
- Process pay rate changes, deductions, and manual payroll checks as needed.
- Maintain electronic payroll records and reports in compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Stay current on federal and state payroll tax law changes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for coworker payroll questions, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years of payroll processing experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Experience with HRIS/HRMS systems.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency.
- Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a paperless work environment.
- Strong data entry skills with a commitment to accuracy.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures in a job cost environment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
