The Senior Compiler Engineer position at Intel is a pivotal role within the Intel Graphics Compiler Project. This role is responsible for the entire lifecycle of software tools for domain-specific programming languages, from definition and design to development, testing, debugging, release, enhancement, and maintenance. The position involves close collaboration with hardware design teams and participation in industry-leading compiler development communities and standards groups. The focus is on leveraging advanced technologies such as DX shader, OpenGL, OpenCL, and SYCL to enhance Intel's graphics processing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Intermediate Representation Interface: Design and integrate the IR interface between front-end components and the Intel graphics compiler.
Optimizer: Design and develop optimization algorithms to improve compiler performance and efficiency.
Generated Code Analysis: Analyze compiler-generated code to identify inefficiencies and propose optimizations or hardware enhancements to address performance issues.
Architecture Research: Collaborate with hardware architects to collect data and evaluate advanced features for future Intel Graphics processors.

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
MS. degree in computer science, electrical computer engineering, or STEM
2+ years with a MS C/C++ programming experience and compiler development
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in computer science, electrical computer engineering, or STEM
1+ years of:
Familiarity with compiler optimizations, front-end translation and back-end code generation
Familiarity with computer and graphics architecture
Familiarity with GPGPU programming model
Knowing LLVM infrastructure is a big plus

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$146,520.00-277,880.00 USD
