Maintenance Coordinator presso Quanex

Quanex is looking for Maintenance Coordinator to join our Cambridge IG team!

This position is responsible for the maintenance department spare parts inventory, work order process, asset management information system, preventive maintenance schedule, equipment checklists and data reporting.

What Success Looks Like:

• Works directly with vendors, contractors, maintenance and purchasing to plan and prioritize maintenance work.
• Determines and requisitions materials needed for work requests.
• Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system to effectively manage work to achieve 95% plant utilization in the most cost-efficient manner.
• Works with the department to adjust the maintenance program to increase plant utilization and/or decrease costs.
• Prepares job plans for maintenance work, with safety instructions and special precautions as part of those plans, in standardized business format. 
• Coordinates with purchasing and vendors to ensure parts availability.
• Maintains maintenance and equipment records and generates reports such as open work orders, past due work orders, completed work orders, labor utilization by work order type, equipment historical cost analysis, etc.
• Provides support to internal customers and works closely with suppliers in partnership to maintain critical target inventories and replenishment stock.
• Performs with a high level of initiative and constructive participation in storeroom and maintenance activities including Receiving, Issuing, Kitting, Sourcing, Ordering, Shipping and Inventory Cycle Counting, Credit Card Reconciliations.

What You Bring

• Minimum HS Diploma combined with 5+ years of qualified experience or equivalent college education.
• Associate's degree (or above) in related technical field is preferred.
• Experience utilizing a computer maintenance management system consisting of work orders, preventative maintenance, equipment records, purchasing, parts and materials specification, and spares; SAP experience preferred.
• Must be able to promote the concepts of teamwork, communicating with all departments to translate work requirements into clear and achievable plans.

The targeted salary range for this position is $46,000 to $56,000 with the potential to earn an annual bonus.
