Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced operations professional to join our Non-Qualified (NQ) Operations team. This role is critical in supporting the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including check issuance, ACH transfers, and tax filings. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of NQ plan nuances and demonstrate the ability to manage complex workflows with precision and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile check disbursements and ACH transactions for NQ plans.
- Support quarterly and annual tax reporting processes, including 1099 & W-2 generation and validation.
- Add new participants and alternate payees to the system.
- Maintain and update ACH & W4 forms and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with plan managers and processing teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness of money-out transactions.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to data discrepancies.
- Assist in documenting and improving procedures for plan-specific and general operations.
- Participate in cross-functional projects, including the expansion of money-out processing responsibilities.
- Provide support for audit and compliance reviews as needed.
- Assist with monthly reports, specialty asset/liability comparison reporting, and maintain participant statement templates through Cedar.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in retirement operations, preferably with a focus on NQ plans.
- Strong knowledge of check processing, ACH workflows, and tax reporting.
- Familiarity with plan-specific rules under IRC 409A and other regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with retirement systems (e.g., Millennium, Relius Administration) is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working with both onshore and offshore teams.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Comfortable navigating plan-specific nuances and client-specific requirements.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:
Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
