Maintenance Tech IV Lead - 2nd Shift presso Quanex

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Tech IV Lead - 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm) to add to our Cambridge IG team!

They will perform repairs on all equipment in the plant and assists Maintenance Supervisor in providing direction to the maintenance technicians related to execution of maintenance activities on each shift in a safe manner.

What Success Looks Like:

• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Direct workers engaged in repairing production equipment and doing preventative maintenance. This includes prioritizing work of others.
• Requisition of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications, and standards.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Supervise activities of workers as shift lead and personally completes mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Directly leads 3 - 8 employees in the Maintenance Department.
• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assist Maintenance Supervisor in appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
• Able to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Attend outside training/seminars for continual education. 
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all Quanex team members and outside resources.
• Must be detail-oriented, professional, self-driven, and flexible to the requirements of each project.

What You Bring:

• Requires minimum High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Hourly Rate of Pay:  $34-$41 hr. based on experience plus $1 shift differential.
