Job Description

Provides direct oversight and supervision in all ticket office operations, including ticket sales, ticket operations, marketing, promotions, tailgate sales and logistics, general parking, and administrative duties. This role is responsible for ticket sales, community outreach, box office management, marketing for upcoming competitions and special events, and leading various special projects and events as assigned by the Director of Athletics or their designee. 

Minimum Qualifications:

​Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or entrepreneurship or four years of relevant experience lieu of degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Basic office and computer skills and the ability to learn new software programs.  

  • Demonstrate understanding of college athletics. 

  • High level of organization and attention to details.  

  • Solution oriented and creative approach to projects.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary ticket operations manager.
  • Manage and implement all marketing and promotional plans for all sports. Includes a strong focus on ideation and execution of digital marketing campaigns for increased revenue generation.
  • Assist in marketing, promotion, gameday operations, and game presentation.
  • Support fan experience elements for sports, such as but not limited to: ticketing, tailgating, open houses, spring games, pep rallies, etc.
  • Create strategies, build relationships, and implement fan experiences to positively differentiate live home events from watching television.
  • Enhance fan engagement and increase attendance at sports, specifically through student, youth, family, and community outreach efforts.
  • Develop and implement creative, innovative, and impactful ideas for fueling the intensity of interest in Tiger Athletics.
  • General oversight of graduate assistant(s), student workers, and academic interns, to ensure expectations and success measures are implemented and achieved.
  • Sport oversite as assigned.
  • Serve as the liaison to campus and student organizations and develop creative and innovative strategies for deepening student engagement with athletics.
  • Manage, build, and maintain post-season ticketed event platforms as necessary.
  • Manages all box office operations, including but not limited to game day ticket staffing, reconciliation, inventory, etc.
  • Prepare daily deposits (as needed) for backup of Assistant AD for Business Operations.
  • Manage complimentary ticket requests (Pass Gates) through TeamWorks for student-athletes, coaches, and staff – in-game operations included.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive group ticket sales strategy.
  • Participate in revenue-generating initiatives, including but not limited to campaigns for the sale of season tickets, tailgate spots, game day suite sales, Tiger Club memberships,
  • Lead special projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics or their designee, including Hall of Fame, Day of Giving Activities, End of the Year S-A Celebration, Chi Alpha Sigma Recognition Awards, etc.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Sit at a desk and use your hands, wrists, and fingers to operate a computer regularly.  Communicate in-person or on the phone with internal and external constituents. Stand and walk around the office and to other campus facilities to perform day-to-day duties. Lift and carry general office supplies and equipment.  Place signage indoors or outdoors.  Navigate uneven outdoor terrain at times.  Navigate various flights of stairs or bleachers. 

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
General office conditions: exposed to moderate noise levels.   Busy college indoor or outdoor competition environment, with moderate to high noise levels.  May require travel to various locations to foster connection with community, and other external constituents.
