Manufacturing Manager presso Pretium Packaging

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Manager at our Cleveland, OH facility will lead all day-to-day production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are achieved. This position is responsible for supervising a team of Production Supervisors and Operators, managing performance metrics, and driving operational excellence through disciplined execution and continuous improvement.

This role works cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure optimal plant performance and alignment with Pretium’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, efficiency, and delivery targets.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards (OSHA, FDA, ISO).
• Monitor and report on plant KPIs; proactively identify and resolve performance gaps.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering to optimize equipment reliability and uptime.

People Development & Leadership

• Lead, coach, and mentor Production Supervisors and hourly employees to build a high-performance team.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and engagement across all shifts.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans for key talent.
• Ensure adequate staffing and coverage to meet production requirements.

Continuous Improvement

• Champion Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to drive process efficiency and waste reduction.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement projects aimed at throughput, scrap reduction, and cost savings.
• Support new product introductions and process validation activities.

Quality & Safety

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all shifts.
• Partner with the Quality team to ensure consistent adherence to product and process standards.
• Investigate and resolve production or quality issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience:

• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in plastics, packaging, or a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in Lean/CI, production planning, and process optimization.
• Experience leading in a 24/5 or 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• ERP system proficiency (IQMS experience a plus).
