Position Summary
The Manufacturing Manager at our Cleveland, OH facility will lead all day-to-day production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are achieved. This position is responsible for supervising a team of Production Supervisors and Operators, managing performance metrics, and driving operational excellence through disciplined execution and continuous improvement.
This role works cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure optimal plant performance and alignment with Pretium’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, efficiency, and delivery targets.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards (OSHA, FDA, ISO).
- Monitor and report on plant KPIs; proactively identify and resolve performance gaps.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering to optimize equipment reliability and uptime.
People Development & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and mentor Production Supervisors and hourly employees to build a high-performance team.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and engagement across all shifts.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans for key talent.
- Ensure adequate staffing and coverage to meet production requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Champion Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives to drive process efficiency and waste reduction.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement projects aimed at throughput, scrap reduction, and cost savings.
- Support new product introductions and process validation activities.
Quality & Safety
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all shifts.
- Partner with the Quality team to ensure consistent adherence to product and process standards.
- Investigate and resolve production or quality issues promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in plastics, packaging, or a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in Lean/CI, production planning, and process optimization.
- Experience leading in a 24/5 or 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- ERP system proficiency (IQMS experience a plus).
