The community you’ll be caring for:
- More than 800 physicians, 450+ advanced practice providers, and 2,600 clinical and support staff in over 40 specialties, provide patients with a broad range of medical and surgical services.
- AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL operates over 200 offices, providing compassionate, multidisciplinary care to more than one million patients a year.

The role you’ll contribute: Analyzes and provides detailed performance improvement data and financial reports available from the various Decision Support and Financial databases, as well as the general ledger. Expert user on all modules of the Financial and Decision Support information systems. Expertise includes all daily, biweekly, monthly, and year-end system maintenance, detailed knowledge of all data elements, and comprehensive report writing skills. Demonstrates ability to analyze customer problems, analyze and present appropriate data, recommend new and/or modified procedures and facilitate implementation. Instrumental in assisting Administration and Departments with information to make key business decisions.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Produces and distributes regular reports from the Financial and Decision Support systems, including physician statistics, readmission rates, mortality stats, losses, costs, market shares, and various ad hoc reports.
- Performs integrity checks and reconciliations on data from the Financial and Decision Support systems.
- Attains expert knowledge of the Financial and Decision Support systems, including maintenance, data download routines, report writing/query procedures, and data elements.
- Educates and trains hospital staff on the use of Financial and Decision Support information and tools.
- Applies mathematical analysis to determine the validity and reliability of statistical data.
- Reviews and calculates standards/target hours for departments based on budget information.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a business-related field is required.
- 1 year of experience in healthcare finance/accounting is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills a must.
- Computer skills including e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
