Make your mark in Marketing & Communications

The AIG UK Franchise Marketing & Communications (M&C) team, part of our broader International  M&C team, contributes to shaping AIG's corporate reputation, global brand and valuation in the marketplace and supporting AIG’s businesses to help strategically position them for continued growth and profitability. Our multi-disciplinary team acts as an in-house “agency” – deploying high-quality external and internal campaigns and events that inspire, inform and engage our colleagues, clients, partners and other stakeholders.

 

How you will make an impact

You will report into the Director of Marketing, AIG UK and will work closely with various teams in AIG’s UK franchise (including UK London and region markets, Global Specialty and Talbot) and other regional and global stakeholders to create impactful content that showcases our expertise and supports business growth.

 

Some of the key responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop, write, and edit a wide range of content, including:

    • Product literature and marketing materials for Specialty, Financial Lines, Property & Casualty insurance lines.

    • Case studies highlighting client success stories and business wins.

    • Knowledge leadership pieces and articles tailored for different geographies and audiences.

    • Website content and copy for external channels (including newsletters, email campaigns, and social media).

  • Use storytelling techniques to translate complex insurance and business concepts into compelling, relatable narratives.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and the rest of the Marketing and Communications team to support the overall strategy.

  • Partner with product leaders and client and broker engagement teams to develop client-facing materials that enhance relationship building and sales effectiveness.

  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, tone of voice, and compliance requirements, while resonating with diverse international markets.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

  • Manage relationships with creative, media, PR and digital agencies to ensure high-quality deliverables and timely execution.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Marketing/Communications, English, or a related field.

  • Extensive professional experience in journalism, copywriting, or content development, with a strong portfolio of published work.

  • Deep familiarity with insurance industry content, especially in specialty, property & casualty lines.

  • Proven track record of working in or with large multinational organisations, with an ability to adapt messaging for different markets and cultures.

  • Demonstrated expertise in storytelling, with the ability to craft engaging narratives that blend creativity with commercial insight.

  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect insurance content to broader client and market needs.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.

  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams works within a matrix structure with multi-cultural and geographically dispersed teams.
