Coordinator - Driver Motor Transportation presso Humboldt Park Health

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operate and maintain the department vehicles in a dependable, efficient, safe and reliable manner.
2. Transports patients, employees, mail, specimens and other hospital activities which require driving.
3. Patrols hospital parking lot when not transporting.
4. Maintains an acceptable attendance record per hospital policy.
5. Recognizes and responds to the needs and behaviors of patients in a variety of age groups, such as neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. (Example: Understand normal patterns of behavior.)
6. Assist patients to and from the Motor Transportation vehicle.
7. Ability to know the city streets regarding directions and landmarks.
8. Completes daily schedules for other all Motor Transportation Drivers.
9. Resolves any issues that may arise.
10. Conducts vehicle inspections.
11. Has full authority to counsel staff if needed.
12. Conducts monthly meetings. Documents all meetings and conversations with staff and makes sure that Director of Public Safety is aware at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Adheres to established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
2. Performs both essential and non-essential job functions in a safe manner as identified by Humboldt Park Health.
3. Demonstrates an understanding of and models the mission and core values of Humboldt Park Health.
4. Enhances professional growth and development by accessing educational programs, job related literature, in-service meetings, and workshops/seminars.
5. Checks hospital email daily.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
7. Maintains the hospital’s cell phone that is assigned.
