At TruckSmarter, we're reshaping the industry by focusing first on truck drivers. Trucks move 71% of freight in America (~$800bn annually), and the trucking industry represents nearly 6% of the full-time jobs in the country. If you look around you, every item has sat on a truck at one point on its journey to you. However, despite the industry being one of the greatest levers of innovation throughout history, it is still deeply fragmented and structurally misaligned. The Role
TruckSmarter is looking for a senior-level designer to define and drive the brand identity for our AI-powered product across all customer touchpoints.
This is a high-impact role where you'll work directly with our leadership team to shape the visual identity and creative brand strategy that will drive success for our business. We’re a lean, cross-functional team spanning design, product, engineering, and operations. You'll lead a comprehensive rebrand while establishing our presence across web, mobile, lifecycle, social, and partnership channels. We foster an entrepreneurial yet supportive environment that values collaboration, craft, and execution, and we are committed to improving the lives of our customers.
Working model: TruckSmarter offers an in-office, collaborative culture. This role is based out of our downtown San Francisco office and requires in-office presence, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Responsibilities
Lead the rebrand of our Dispatch product, including defining visual identity systems, design language, typography, color palettes, and brand guidelines.
Expand the brand through digital activations (static and video) across a wide variety of channels and media, including web, email, mobile, social, and affiliate partnerships.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to establish a differentiated and high-quality digital brand presence.
Partner with our design manager and CEO to create high-quality work that delivers on our brand and business strategy.
Own content and brand projects from concept through final execution, iterating on designs to optimize performance.
Requirements:
5+ years of digital creative experience, including 2+ years in senior creative roles.
Portfolio demonstrating brand design expertise across identity development (logos, typography, color systems), campaign creative (social, video, email), product marketing assets, and web design.
Proven track record developing both brand-focused and performance-driven creative assets.
End-to-end creative experience from conceptualization through execution.
Startup mindset, with willingness to drive change and build processes from the ground up.
Excellent working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
Nice to haves:
Experience servicing or building AI product brands.
Experience with B2B products where the end users are small businesses, frontline operators, or service providers.
Experience with product marketing.
Proficiency with web development or tools like Framer.
Proficiency with lifecycle marketing using tools like Customer.io.
Motion design experience with After Effects, LottieFiles, or similar tools.
Experience with AI content creation tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Sora, Midjourney).
A background in transportation or logistics.
