Overview:

The Product Development team in San Jose operates in a rapid-paced & innovative/challenging environment. We focus on creating new market solutions with rapid productization. The software development team solves challenging problems and requires engineers to be engaged in all phases of development.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Functional management of the personnel in the SQA Team.
  • Creation, tracking and oversight of the release schedules once a release date and content are firmly established.
  • Management of test logistics – personnel, tools, order of testing precedence, etc.
  • Oversight of tool allocation requirements and execution for s/w testing.
  • Organization and review of feature requests between Software Engineering and SQA Team.
  • Creation, review and tracking of test metrics with the goal of improving software quality.
  • Management of software issue escalations with Technical Support, Field Service, and Manufacturing Teams.
  • Creation, review and tracking of content for Operations Manuals, Release Notes, Manufacturing and Technical Support documentation.
  • Contribute to development of test procedures and scenarios to qualify new software.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Software, Systems Engineering desired) with 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in software testing and working with high precision equipment.

 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to own and execute tasks independently.
  • Have a passion to push limits to find issues to improve product quality.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles. Demonstrated proficiency in creating and executing test plans and procedures.
  • Experience in software test script generation or other scripting skills or experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with issue tracking and management, and customer support.
  • Demonstrated experience with large volume data analysis for technical applications.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communications skills in English


Salary and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $124,410 — $157,586, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
