Job Description

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the Accounting Shared Services organization, setting strategic direction for all accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, and indirect tax.
  • Develop and implement a scalable shared services model that promotes standardization, automation, and continuous process improvement across functions.
  • Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to align Shared Services goals with companywide financial and operational strategies.
  • Oversee monthly general ledger close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Direct payroll operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing for all associates, optimizing integration between HRIS and accounting systems.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, streamlining vendor payment cycles, implementing electronic payment solutions, and maintaining strong internal controls.
  • Lead indirect tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filing of sales, use, occupancy, and other transactional taxes across all jurisdictions.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for service delivery, accuracy, timeliness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Champion automation and digitization efforts leveraging platforms such as Sage 300, Coupa, and Workday to enhance accuracy, speed, and visibility of accounting transactions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to support annual audits and reviews, ensuring accuracy of supporting documentation and reconciliations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability that reflects Atrium’s SPIRIT values—Service, Perseverance, Inclusion, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including multi-site or shared services oversight; hospitality experience required. This depth of experience ensures the ability to manage complex, high-volume financial operations while driving consistency and accuracy across diverse locations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or CPA designation preferred. A strong educational foundation supports informed decision-making, financial integrity, and effective leadership in a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, USALI, and internal control frameworks; CPA or CHAE certification preferred. Expert knowledge and credentials demonstrate a commitment to compliance, precision, and best-in-class accounting standards.
  • Proven success leading process standardization, automation, and large-scale team management; excellent written and verbal communication skills. These capabilities are essential for streamlining operations, strengthening collaboration, and sustaining a high-performing shared services organization.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; preferred experience with Sage 300, ProfitSage, Coupa, FloQast, Workday, Workrecords, Fintech, MyDigitalOffice, and SharePoint. Technical proficiency enables efficient data management, automation, and innovation across financial systems and workflows.
