Job Summary:

Catawba Two Kings Casino is hiring a Count Room Team Supervisor! The Count Room Team Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the count room, ensuring the accurate and efficient collection, counting, and reconciliation of all gaming and non-gaming revenues. This role requires a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and strict adherence to internal controls, gaming regulations, and company policies. The supervisor manages count room staff, maintains operational security, and ensures all currency handling is performed in accordance with regulatory and audit requirements.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the activities of the Count Team to ensure all count operations are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with gaming regulations and company policies.
  • Train, coach, and schedule Count Team Members; conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Prepare and review count sheets, reconciliation forms, and reports; verify totals against system records.
  • Oversee the collection, transportation, counting, and recording of drop and revenue from slot machines, table games, kiosks, and other areas.
  • Account for, reconcile, and remit monies brought in through soft count activities.
  • Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and ensure all currency and documents are secured and handled appropriately.
  • Monitor and maintain count room equipment to ensure operational readiness, report malfunctions and coordinate repairs
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, tribal and federal regulations, as well as internal controls.
  • Assist in research and resolution of complex or unusual transactions as they relate to soft count.
  • Communicate effectively with cage operations, surveillance, security, and finance departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure count room environment.
  • Retrieve drop boxes from slot machines, table games, kiosks, and other gaming or non-gaming areas as assigned. 
  • Effectively perform the functions of counting, sorting, strapping, racking, transporting, and recording of all funds in the count operation.
  • Ensure that cash boxes are removed from carts, scanned, and put through the MPS system. 
  • Ensure that all monies are verified, proofed, strapped and bricked with the required information on the straps. 
  • Interacting positively through relationships with guests, fellow team members and members of the management team displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for people’s needs. 
  • Greet internal and external guests appropriately, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner. 
  • Preform other duties as assigned

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Catawba Gaming License.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year gaming experience in count room (required).
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a state gaming license.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work an alternate schedule as needed.
  • Ability to work in a loud fast-paced environment (may occasionally be exposed to second-hand cigarette smoke).

 

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; bend to open/use lower drawers or cabinetry; to talk, hear, and see. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
