Our Quality Team partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Customers and Suppliers to ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance
How will you make a difference?
As a key member of the Wabtec Bus Solutions Team, you will:
- Champion Customer Quality – Be the voice of the customer. Lead audits, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement related to product quality.
- Lead Problem Solving & Product Reliability - Own CAPA investigations, uncover root causes, and elevate product performance via smart, data-driven solutions.
- Drive Quality Execution & Financial Impact – Deliver results that matter. Execute quality plans using FMEA and Control Plans. Reduce COPQ and disposition QC inventory to boost working capital.
- Collaborate & Influence Cross-Functional Teams – Be the connector. Work across engineering, operations, and others to align quality goals and performance.
- Develop Talent & Ensure Compliance – Build the future. Lead and mentor quality engineers, lead training, and uphold the highest standards in compliance and quality.
What do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field preferred and 7+ years of progressive experience in quality engineering, including leadership roles. Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Proven success in implementing quality improvements in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex quality issue resolution.
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and project management skills.
What will your typical day look like? You will:
- Respond to customer complaints and lead CAPA investigations to ensure timely, effective resolution.
- Support operations, engineering, and other cross functional teams to ensure timely shipment of quality products and disposition of quality-related inventory.
- Align quality engineering activities with business priorities and track action items to closure.
- Coach and guide quality engineers to ensure consistent execution and professional development.
- Prepare, monitor and action reports on quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between
$89,100.00-$126,900.00The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include an annual bonus, if eligible.
