Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field and two (2) years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 7 (Salaried).

Position Description:

The staff auditor is responsible for reviewing current policies, procedures, and practices  and making recommendations to improve internal control systems.  The staff auditor will meet with staff, faculty and administration to collect information, analyze data, identify problems and weaknesses, and help develop strategies to minimize or eliminate errors.  The staff auditor will work under the guidance of the senior auditor or audit manager on routine projects, while developing the skills to work independently as the lead auditor on internal audit projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of department staff, the staff auditor will collect and analyze data as a basis for an opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, follow-up on audit action plan implementation, review, evaluate, and recommend business process improvements in university organizations, assist in determining the overall direction of audit projects and effectively communicate audit results.

  • Microsoft Office products particularly Word, and Excel

  • Strong written and oral communications

  • Attention to detail and project management

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
