Job Summary:

The Learning Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the learning and development programs within the poultry operational production environment. This role involves executing and evaluating training programs to ensure that employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. The Learning Manager will work closely with various departments to execute learning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, execute, and evaluate: the on-the-job training, manger onboarding, technical training, and leadership programs onsite.
  • Lead and develop: the Assistant Hourly Training team onsite.
  • Training Program Development: Execute comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of the poultry operational production team.
  • Implementation: Oversee the implementation of training programs, ensuring that they are delivered effectively and efficiently.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with department heads, supervisors, and other stakeholders to identify training needs and execute strategies to address them.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all training programs comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, assessments, and feedback.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership and support to the training team, ensuring that they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
  • Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating new techniques and technologies into training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.  Equivalent work experience to be considered in lieu of higher education.
  • Experience: 3+ years of poultry processing experience, holding a management level position. POULTRY OPERATIONAL PRODUCTION required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of training methodologies and adult learning principles.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to execute and evaluate training programs.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in training and development, such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), are preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment: This role will be based in a poultry production facility, with a combination of office and on-site work.
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required to other facilities or training locations.
