As an Intern, you'll be exposed to various cybersecurity activities with the support of our senior staff. This program grants our trainees the opportunity to develop valuable skills and dive into cutting-edge projects such as leading the Columbia Class design and enhancing Virginia Class submarines.
This program requires a minimum commitment of 8 weeks during the Summer 2026 Season. Participation in this program requires medical screening, passing a drug test, and potential DOD Investigation.

Cybersecurity – Summer Internship
The Cybersecurity Department is seeking highly motivated interns to support the evaluation, development and support of new IT technologies at Electric Boat (EB) as well as analyzing existing systems. Interns will help monitor all systems for misconfigurations and potential vulnerabilities, and assist with assessing risks and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
Cybersecurity Summer Interns may be responsible for the following tasks:
- Assist with developing and maintaining security plan documentation
- Monitoring and analyzing user and system activity
- Supporting incident response activities
- Working closely with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and/or Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) personnel as well as other system stakeholders.

Qualifications:- Pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Science in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- US citizenship is required.
- Must be able to successfully pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check.
- Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university
- At minimum students must have completed their Freshman year prior to the start of the internship.
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week for a minimum eight (8) consecutive weeks between May2026 to September 2026.
- Selected candidates will be responsible for establishing housing and reliable transportation for the duration of their intern assignment.
