Hurrdat is one of a kind. A media, marketing, and entertainment agency. 

We were founded in Lincoln, Nebraska as a small team of two in 2010, offering social media services to brands and athletes. After a decade of growth, we have become a uniquely well-rounded marketing and advertising agency with in-house media, sports, entertainment, and film divisions. 

Mergers and acquisitions over the years (with B2 Interactive, Disconnected Media, Digital Hero Films, Victory Fighting Championship, Hail Varsity, and Parkville Media) have grown our team to over 150 people. 

We serve over 200 clients who collectively operate in 8 countries, including 43 states in the United States. Our clients range from local businesses just starting to build their brand and online presence to enterprise organizations. 

 

About the Role: 

We are seeking an Art Director to lead creative design projects and oversee visual direction across a wide range of client campaigns and internal initiatives. This role will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, designers, copywriters, and marketing teams to ensure that all creative work aligns with brand strategy and maintains exceptional quality and consistency. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to): 

  • Conceptualize and develop creative ideas that align with client objectives and brand guidelines. 

  • Lead design direction for campaigns, branding, digital, and print materials. 

  • Oversee and provide feedback on creative work from designers and other creative staff. 

  • Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, and account managers to ensure cohesive storytelling and brand consistency. 

  • Present creative concepts and design solutions to internal teams and clients. 

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and creative standards. 

  • Stay current with design, advertising, and marketing trends to continuously elevate the quality of work. 

  • Support new business efforts by contributing to pitches and proposals with creative concepts and visual mockups. 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Visual Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required). 

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional design experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or art direction role. 

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in branding, campaign development, and digital design. 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with motion or video design tools a plus. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to guide and mentor designers while maintaining a collaborative team environment. 

  • Strong conceptual thinking and an eye for detail. 

  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines. 

  • Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check. 

 

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: 

  • Work is normally performed in a typical office environment. 

  • Will lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds using safe and proper lifting methods.
