As part of a project, we are developing a wireless communication system that can be used in the environment of BOS radio (authorities and organizations with security tasks). The goal is to research and test modern communication solutions that are reliable, efficient, and flexible. Different technologies are combined to ensure robust and secure data transmission in complex environments.

What you will do

• Performing laboratory work in the field of electrical engineering with a focus on communication systems
• Developing simulations for analyzing communication systems
• Setting up and testing demonstrators for research and development projects
• Programming microcontrollers

Depending on your interests and prior knowledge, you can concentrate on individual topics. It is not necessary to take on all of the tasks mentioned.

What you bring to the table

• You are a registered student in the field of electrical engineering, computer engineering, technical computer science, or a comparable degree program
• You are motivated to learn new things and familiarize yourself with exciting topics in electrical engineering and communication systems
• You have basic knowledge of electrical engineering and programming in C, MATLAB, or VHDL
• You have basic knowledge of digital signal processing (not a must, willingness to learn counts)
• You work independently and show initiative
• You enjoy practical work

The position is initially limited to 1 year. An extension is explicitly desired.

The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
