The Environmental Technician II supports environmental compliance and field operations activities, ensuring adherence to company, state, and federal environmental standards. This role involves data management, fieldwork, sampling, and compliance verification within North Slope operations. The ideal candidate will have several years of hands-on field experience and a strong understanding of environmental procedures and regulatory expectations.
- Maintain systematic processes to manage and track critical environmental compliance data.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain user-friendly systems for information collection and sharing.
- Administer data gathering, recordkeeping, quality assurance, and compliance verification activities.
- Conduct fieldwork, including spill cleanup, waste and soil sampling, and environmental oversight.
- Confirm equipment identification and location, supporting environmental release response and field inspections.
- Assist in environmental documentation, audits, and field data analysis as required.
- Experience: 3–7 years of environmental field experience (North Slope experience strongly preferred).
- Working knowledge of environmental technology, applications, and terminology.
- Proficient in data management, documentation, and compliance recordkeeping.
- Strong understanding of field sampling methods and waste handling procedures.
- Capable of making sound decisions within established environmental compliance parameters.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
- Demonstrated safety awareness and field discipline in remote and harsh environments.
