- Obtains clinical sites including site specific contracts as indicated by the corporate contract process
- Maintains relationships with clinical sites on an ongoing basis
- Conducts clinical site visits, observations, and surveys. Reviews the results with faculty, students, site liaison, Nursing Program Administrator, and the Director of Nursing Education, as appropriate
- Assists with faculty recruitment and hiring specifically regarding clinical faculty positions
- Responsible for faculty orientation, professional development, evaluation, and management of the clinical site rotations
- Ensures that all instructors are present, and provisions are made for clinical faculty absences
- Schedules faculty and students for all clinical experiences
- Supports and enforces school and clinical site policies and procedures; advises and supports instructors as needed
- Oversees the feedback to students regarding clinical site policy and procedure
- Manages student progress through the clinical rotations. Ensures satisfactory clinical progress as it relates to students' progression, attendance, and clinical skills at each level of education
- Develops, implements, and evaluates lab skill process for all lab objectives as required and as indicated in program syllabus
- Scheduling of Staff and students for Lab skill experience
- Manage student progress through the Skill Lab process. Ensure satisfactory skill progress as it relates to students' progression and hands on skills at each level of education
- Review current and future needs of equipment and clinical supplies. Makes recommendations to the Nursing Program Administrator/Director of Nursing Education for equipment and supply purchases
- Maintains the Lab Setting for skill demonstration purposes
- Ability to read and interpret documents including federal, state, and local regulations
- Ability to produce routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and managers of the organization
- Ability to interpret key statistics related to student retention
- Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite and email
- Current driver's license
- Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical education
- Minimum of 3 years related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught (excluding teaching experience)
- The necessary academic credentials and work-related experience mandated by the company, state, accreditation, and any other regulatory agencies that monitor compliance. Example: Bachelors of Science, Nursing (BSN) Degree 2+ years of experience in clinical education or management
- Faculty must be certified or licensed where required by law
- Faculty must have all immunization documentation and CPR required by clinical facilities
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- Minimum of 1 year management experience
