Job Description:
LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our faculty as a school of nursing excellence within an academic health sciences center environment. Our nursing faculty have the opportunity to educate future nurses at the BSN, MN/MSN, DNS and DNP level, including state-of-art simulation laboratories; conduct nursing & interdisciplinary research; engage in faculty practice, including our nurse-run clinics; pursue entrepreneurial and consultative activities; and serve as a nursing leader and development of leadership skills through our Emergent Nurse Leader Program. We invite you to submit your curriculum vitae for the following faculty position: Simulation Faculty. Incumbent will provide instructional and technical support for the day-to-day operations in the human simulation educational laboratories, within our Nursing Skills & Technology Center; support all clinical learning lab and simulated patient care learning experiences to successfully complete evidence based learning opportunities in simulated patient care environments.
Qualifications
Required Education: Master's focused in Nursing or related field
Experience: Ability to effectively manage a highly complex and high paced laboratory environment with careful attention to details and safety; Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications relevant to simulation & learning labs; Ability to collaborate
Preferred Education: Doctoral Degree in Nursing or Health related field
Certifications: BLS CPR Instructor certification (also ACLS and/or PALS); Certification in any nursing specialty
Experience: Experience working with/and disposal of chemicals & bio-hazardous materials and familiarity with state & federal regulations; Experience in maintaining simulation laboratory inventories, supplies & equipment.
